![]() 2020 is the beginning of not only a new decade, but a new astrological era. The theme of change and chaos continues, and intensifies as the year begins.
Expect a year when we will be confronted with all the difficulties that need remedies in our world – the environment, government, starvation, immigration and more - and because the influence of the planets affects the whole as well as the individuals who make up the whole – it will be a year for us to confront all those problems in our lives that need remedies. I’m afraid we can’t expect an easy year but the influences are very powerful and it’s not the time for any of us to sit back and wait and see. We are actually under a vibration of laying new foundations. It’s a year for us to actively help lay the foundations for the new you that you want to be – but more importantly for the new world that we want to be a part of. It’s time to wake up to the problems that confront us and humanity. It’s a serious year. Now 2019 was social in a way but also highly emotional. This year is not emotional so much but serious. It’s what I call a “reality check” year. We have been seeing a lot of chaos, and now things are settling and we can now see things as they are – not as we’d like them to be. I'm very pleased to announce that my latest, twelfth book "Earth: Astrology's Missing Planet - Reconnecting with Her Sacred Power" was published by Dodona Books on February 23, 2018. It is, I believe, the first book of its kind - in that it does what astrology has not done - it takes into account the influence of the very planet upon which we live - Mother Earth. Please check out Earth: Astrology's Missing Planet at amazon.com, where you can now order this. As far as my own background, I've studied and practiced Astrology as well as Spiritual teachings, since I was 14. I was asking the question "Why?" almost as soon as I could talk, and I am sure many of you can relate to this. The two studies of Spirituality and Astrology go hand in hand. We are all here on Mother Earth for a reason; one much more important than just earning a living. We all have a unique destiny and purpose, and we are all here to learn and evolve through life's opportunities and challenges. Astrology is not the only study that can help us find our way - our own intuition honed through constant practice and development is a better one. However, this fascinating study of the Cosmos is very helpful. The good news is that the Cosmos provides us with a guidebook from the moment of our birth. This guidebook is our natal chart (also known as birth chart or horoscope) and we just have to learn what it means. Astrology can help us all to find out the really important questions like who we really are, and why we're here on Earth. Sometimes, life is challenging for all of us but astrology, once understood and applied, can help us make the right decisions at the right times; and helps us to unlock our potential. The problem with Astrology is that it is a vast and complex study. However, as an astrologer/teacher and author for over thirty years, I have aimed, along with other astrologers, to demystify some of the complexities of this study and present it to you as the helpful tool. I have done this through my books and through my blog Cosmic Cafe (sign up via the Contact Form). There are many different types of Astrology. I practice Karmic Astrology which is also known as Evolutionary Astrology - it answers those big questions about why we're here but it also helps us in every aspect of our daily lives. However, more fascinating even than Astrology to me are all things cosmic. I much prefer to look upwards - at the cosmos as well as upwards towards Spiritual knowledge and wisdom - than to get too enmeshed in the chaos of our world. It's here that we find truth, harmony, peace, joy, inspiration and true Love. By aiming upwards - for the highest - especially at this time of chaos and turmoil so prevalent in our world - we can make sense of our lives. Lovingly, Chrissie Blaze |
